Well done 9930 - on the move!!

Loaded with 'Shoe Boxes of Love'
bound for Christchurch
At Changeover on Sunday we handed over the Minibus to Canterbury Rowing Association CEO Rotarian John Wylie.  John was accompanied by members of the New Zealand Under 23 Rowing Squad, with many of their members being from Christchurch.  The van was filled with “Shoeboxes of Love” from Cambridge and Taupo and quilts from Rotorua, for distribution in Christchurch.
With the U23 rowers at Karapiro
The Minibus was purchased with major donations from the Rotary Clubs of Cambridge, Tauranga and Hamilton, and with smaller donations from the Rotary Club of Otorohanga and the Kawaha Point Primary School from Rotorua.  The Minibus will be used to transport Intermediate and High School rowers to training and events and when not being used for this it is on offer to Sport Canterbury to transport children from the Eastern Sector of Christchurch to recreational events.

I wish to thank John for his efforts and wish him well in his endeavours.

Peter Signal
District Governor 2010/2011
D9930, New Zealand.
