Here is a listing from one very proud President at a recent Changeover - and this is not a large Club.

- Thanks to the District and Rotary club of wellington central we were successful in receiving $19,0000 so that Russell School in Porirua east could finish their playground.And can i say the official opening was last Friday and it looks awesome.It was great to have DG Bob and Margaret along for the occasion
- We sponsored 2 students from Bishop Viard to RYPEN.Rotary youth program for enrichment to help Teenagers today benefit greatly from opportunities to develop “life skills” and motivation to help them cope with the challenges of a very competitive future.
- We sponsored David to Ryla-Rotary Youth leadership award which RYLA emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth
- We visited 8 schools in Porirua east Gifting 288 dictionaries to year 4,5 and 6 students-We even got an article in the Rotary Down Under magazine
- We sponsored 2 disadvantaged students with fantastic grades to further their education from Porirua College to attend their school geography trip on the gold coast
- We helped a student from Aotea college with their World challenge trip to Cambodia/Vietnam
- Our Sundowners team did an amazing job at The relay for Life here in Porirua back in March this year and can I proudly say that our team raised $5,300 for the cancer society (applause)
- We were involved in 2 Mayoral showcases
- We purchased an Emergency response kit to send to Fiji for the major flooding
- Had a great successful charity Quiz night in association with the chamber of Commerce
- We've supported Blood Pressure week,Salvation Army,bellyful Porirua,Keep Porirua Beautiful,Whitirea re-planting,Victim support,NZ frisbee team,Healthy Heroes, Titahi Bay Lions with market clean up in February,Our major fundraiser Xmas wrapping at North City shopping centre.
- We've had the pleasure in hosting a lovely young lady Bianca our International Rotary exchange student from Argentina
- Double page spread in the local newspaper Kapi mana News
