Bags of Potential - a great idea

This is an Initiative from Dunedin Central Rotary Club.

Too many conference bags and wondering what to do with them?
Sarah Ting has a potential solution for you. In conjunction with James Leong, she has started an initiative called Bag Amnesty Aoteroa New Zealand.
The idea started out with a simple conundrum that faces many professionals and academics who attend conferences regularly. Through her links with Marine Reach who operate Mercy Ship medical and dental missions to the South Pacific, Sarah intends for donated bags to be distributed to children from remote island communities. These bags would make good school bags for these children and could provide them with a tangible link to the wider international community, almost like a message in a bottle.
Sarah has set up collection points at the Dental School and is welcoming donations from fellow Rotarians. Roadstar Couriers have kindly agreed to transport these to the port of Tauranga for free.
