I was able to have this posted on our Datacom Intranet site the other week. It drew many positive comments.

The
support that Datacom provides community organisations has recently been
well demonstrated. Howard Tong, the Manager of the Wellington Datacom
Systems Service Desk, has been one of six Rotary District Governors in
New Zealand/Pacific Island region for the past 12 months.
Howard
has had to balance his full time role at Datacom with leading Rotary
activities in the District which included visiting 60 Rotary Clubs in
the lower half of the North Island.
“The
support of Datacom and especially the support from my team have been
fantastic. There were times when balancing the two commitments was
difficult and I appreciate the support given by Management to allow me
to lead this service organisation alongside my role in Datacom.”
Howard
has now been appointed by the current International President of Rotary
to be the Regional Public Image Coordinator looking after Rotary media
campaigns for all of New Zealand, Pacific Islands and part of Australia.
