Michael Sheldrick  is the Campaign Manager for the Global Poverty Project.

Michael is 23 years old and is a member of Crawley Rotary Club in WA.  The internet based fundraiser they had 16,845 sign-ups. It was free to sign up and the Rotary Club donated $1 for each sign-up.  Going through the Global Poverty Project unlike going via Rotary their were no constraints on who was emailed and they weren't just focused on Rotary members. They were interacting with the general public and now have a substantial external mailing list.

Here is an example of thinking outside the box - young people with innovative approaches are making a huge impact on the way Rotary is perceived in our community. Young people use today's technology and add a new dimension to Rotary.  It is interesting to note that RC of Crawley is the Club that has obtained outside sponsorship to pay for young members fees.
