Books for Babies - a wonderful profile for rotary

Click on the image to find out more
March was Rotary Literacy Month when Australian Clubs took part in the “Books for Babies” program.  The objective was to celebrate with parents the arrival of their newborn babies. Rotary has worked with Australia’s leading children’s author Mem Fox and the book publisher Penguin. The book presented was “Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes” which Clubs could purchase for the special price of only $6.95 each.

Penguin sent out over 1,100 books to Rotary Clubs around Australia. There are lots more books in the warehouse and the program can carry on through April, as every month is really Rotary Literacy Month.

This program is a tremendous way of promoting Rotary to families in your community.  So if your Club would like to get some books and create some magic you still can.

Contact Dick Garner and he will send you a project information pack.
The pack has details of the program, lists of maternity hospitals, how to order, the insert page to go in the book to promote your Club and a press release.
