from the local media

Incoming Rotary International President Ron Burton and Jetta inspected the two recently arrived vans which will be fitted out and presented to the Christchurch City Council Mobile Library Service in December. These were jointly funded by the support of Australian Districts in obtaining a Rotary Foundation Matching Grant and also the Cotton On Foundation based in Geelong Australia who partnered in the project.
Representatives from the City Council, the mobile library service and Cotton On attended along with Rotarians instrumental in bringing the project to fruition.

Sincere appreciation was expressed that these two vans will allow outreach of the mobile library service to areas of the community badly affected by the loss of local libraries following the sequence of earthquakes in the Christchurch area since September 2010.
