A proactive high profile brings real results

Proactive in the community - the Karori Rotary Club in Wellington

  • An Emergency Response Kit was displayed in a local shopping mall.
  • 500 ERK Brochures given out
  • A real team effort by Rotarians
  • The local media was invited to report on the display
  • District Governor Graeme Blick was able to speak with the media

There was the suggestion of a general Rotary Donation sticker to give to those who made cash donations for any Rotary cause.

Some of the day highlights were
(1) Collected $717-70 in cash.
(2) Were able to promote an example of what Rotary does in the Pacific Island area.
(3) Have two prospective members to follow-up.
(4) Have at least two people who stated they would contribute to ERKs direct. (One said they would give a substantial donation).
(5) We had several enquires if they could text a donation. I know they could do it on line but a text donation is instant.
