Thankyou Rotary - share the video

Rotary makes a difference to the lives of children who have lived through the earthquake and aftershocks in Christchurch.

Here is feedback from the artists (Rhythm Interactive) and the schools involved

On behalf of Rhythm Interactive our Director John Boone and myself, we send you our most heartfelt thanks for all your wonderful energy, enthusiasm, generosity and support. We are forever grateful to you both for helping us to make a positive impact upon the lives of those children and teachers that participated in the Therapeutic Education Project.

Here is feedback from some of the schools.

Kia ora Anton

Thank you for the opportunity for our children to have this drum experience.
It was heartwarming to see a whole school in a hall involved with drumming - your skills in maintaining order are admirable. The looks on the children's faces were priceless.
The followup workshops were a real gift as they allowed those children who wanted more exposure to have it and too build some real skills. Your flexibility in working in with us and our time table was appreciated.
Many thanks to Rotary for funding this experience - our families have very limited incomes so to pay for it would've been prohibitive to many children.
Once again many thanks Anton
Toni Burnside (Principal Central New Brighton School)
Thank you and Rotary for such an awesome experience for our students and the gifting of the drums. The workshops were full of gusto, they allowed our students to use a vehicle through music to find positive ways to express their feelings.  We have been able to use the drums to present their skills at the Cultural Festival 2012, many people from other schools commented on our thrilling use of the drums to create presence. The use of their new and growing skills are fostered with the use of the drums. Thank you for choosing our school to be part of your programme in schools. Anton you also were able to quickly develop a strong rapport with our students, teaching a diverse group of young students from Years 1-8. Arohanui kia koe Judi Parker.

Would love to give feedback and here it is!
Linwood Avenue School has been involved with Antoni and Rhythm Interactive this year, thanks to the funding provided through Rotary. This programme has impacted the whole school as well as a group of 20 individuals who have built their repertoire of drumming to a pleasing level.

I have been extremely impressed by both programmes that have run. The school programme gave everyone a chance to participate in drumming in what was a fun filled but constructive programme that had everyone fully enthralled.

The small group lessons were well attended and the programme built on the children's skills. All progressed well and remained committed to learning during this programme.

I would fully endorse the programme given by Antoni and his team. The children were opened up to another facet of the world that they had not previous knowledge of and this built on their world experience.

I am extremely grateful to Antoni, and Rotary for providing this funding and programme in an area that is difficult for us to fund through our resources.
