Solomons Community still needs our help

This photo is typical of what little some Solomon Island people have due to the loss of their homes following the recent floods. Rotary New Zealand's appeal for funding will provide much needed support for rehabilitation of those most affected.

As well as Emergency Response Kits sent to the Solomons from New Zealand, Rotary in Honiara will be supporting the supply of much needed consumables for the health sector and basic supplies for the education sector. Mosquito Nets have also been requested. Please go to our website for details about making a donation www.rnzwcs.org

Rotary in the Solomon Islands have been receiving logistical support from Guadalcanal Plains Palm Oil Ltd (GPPOL) to ensure that supplies of Rotary New Zealand’s Emergency Response Kits are being delivered to those most in need. GPPOL have repaired bridges to ensure people in isolated areas received the Kits and have provided trucks and drivers. The early delivery of Kits to the Solomons’ was made possible through the goodwill of Fiji Airways.
