Splash
out and Celebrate Rotary International's Birthday on 25th February 2012
Each
year RI encourage Rotarians to do something around 23 February to mark Rotary's
birthday - however very little seems to happen. The Rotary Club of
Grantham is inviting Rotary Clubs around the world to get off their butts and
actually do something in 2012. The something is to be part of a world record
breaking swimming event to raise funds to End Polio. They have a winning
formula event which has already raised over $1,000,000.
Their
thinking is if they can do it and other Clubs around the world join them we can
make a significant contribution to End Polio, have a lot of fun and raise
Rotary awareness.
So
District and Club Foundation Chairman, reach for the "budgie
smugglers" and get your Club and communities to get in the swim. Its time
you made a global splash for Rotary.
