includng wheelchairs
On Sunday 6th Nov on the Attitude programme TV1 at 8.30am there will be a feature on the work of the Ashburton Rotary Club project in Samoa recently carried out by the 14 people who went – Rotarians and partners.
Boxes of bookcases on a truck.

The Ashburton Rotary Club has developed a relationship with the Rotary Club of Apia and were organising a container of bookcases, desks & chairs, books to go to Samoa.

We saw a programme on Attitude on the disabled in Samoa, we made contact with several organisations to see what they might require.

They sent a wish list through to us for wheelchairs, walker trainers etc. At this stage the Plains Rotary Club said they would like to become involved, we managed to source 60 plus wheelchairs & other disability equipment.
A ramp which has been built
by the Rotarian's.
Attitude tv had asked us to keep in touch and when we told them we were going, they said they would be keen to do a programme with us.  There were 14 people that went to Samoa and we delivered wheelchairs & school supplies. We also built disability ramps for people who needed access to their homes.  Attitude TV is also completing a 4 minute promotional dvd for Rotary Clubs to help promote the work we intend to continue doing in Samoa.
