Why is it that when there are opportunities to make media headlines for the things we do, that the reference to Rotary is often absent?
Or when reporters complete their investigation and post their report, there seems to be a selective exclusion of any reference to Rotary.
Is this something other Rotarians have observed?
I certainly recognise that there are many times when there is very good reporting, especially in the local community newspapers. I am aware of growing frustration amongst some Rotarians who look but do not see any reference to he significant work we do, and with particular to our efforts in the eradication of Polio.
Is this something that is seen in other countries? Feel free to add your comments to this Blog - I invite you to share your views.
Of course this will never discourage Rotarians from continuing to serve others, but you must agree it is an important aspect in the marketing and membership promotion. We must get the right level of exposure for our achievements so we can answer the question the community often ask: "What does Rotary do?"
