Most bang for the buck!

A District PR Chair reported the following:

"We get most bang with a national campaign and really online growth will be critical.
HOWEVER we should also be constantly encouraging clubs to be pushing their activities through their local media by news stories and using the internet to spread the word through whatever tools they have eg website; Linkedin; Facebook; Twitter.  When I say using local media I mean news stories such as this one http://digital.thestar.co.nz/olive/ode/str_daily/

I worked with the club; gave them contacts and photo ideas – and the story makes front page in a  paper that goes to every house in the city.  You can’t buy that kind of publicity."
